Introduction
DSV Solutions is currently managing various logistics solutions for over 1,000 clients on +400 sites globally. On about 140 locations, both multi-user and dedicated, DSV performs activities within the Industrial & Chemical vertical. These activities vary from the conventional warehousing and distribution services to (re-)packing, assembly, repair, quality inspection, sequencing and reverse logistics.
At this moment DSV Solutions is looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Director Global Business Development / Subject Matter Expert with a strong background in the vertical Industrial & Chemical. Within DSV Solutions, this vertical includes Food Ingredients & Raw Material, Packaged Chemicals, Machinery & Components, Industrial Spare Parts and (Renewable) Energy.
Together with internal stakeholders, the Director Global Business Development will define the global vertical strategy which brings DSV Solutions to be a preferred solutions provider in this vertical. In close cooperation with local / regional management, you will implement this strategy including the necessary improvements and innovations, resulting in successful, strong market segment.
You lead larger and complex commercial projects, from lead generation upon delivery, demonstrating your market expertise in contract logistics and in-depth knowledge of the respective vertical. Consultative selling is often a key to success. For smaller opportunities within the vertical, you support the local organization with your expertise and knowledge.
Based on current and future customer requirements you also identify and initiate products, services and/or tools that are required to ensure our current and future success.
You report to the CCO and work closely with (potential) customers, local and regional management and the business development colleagues, worldwide.
